Pre-color look at my piece for the "Fake Rock Poster" show at Floating World in Portland.
Mythology + Earth (both pre-Sabbath monikers) = Myth. March 25 1971, Wichita Kansas refers to the otherworldly Sabbath bootleg recording whence Iommi channels the battered Christ via SG. Wicked World 14:15.
Also an excuse to try my hand at the classic Griffin lettering...! Something about the fact that it's "fake" was quite liberating. Hm. Unreadable logo on purpose.

I took part in the annual TRPS Festival of Rock Posters in SF yesterday.
It was an honor to mingle with the masters and be humbled by the incredible amount of vintage psychedelia. Picked up Roger Dean's "Greenslade" print, Rush 1971 patch, and some Blue Cheer Family Dog handbills!
